Ways to protect yourself while riding a motorcycle.

Las Vegas Bike Accident Attorneys

As Las Vegas Accident Attorneys, we specialize in Las Vegas motorcycle accidents. Because of this specialization we see the horrible effects that individuals involved in motorcycle accidents experience on a daily basis.

Vital tips for Motorcycle safety include:

1. Assume You are Invisible: Pretend that you are completely invisible to other drivers and ride accordingly.
2. Make Eye Contact with other drivers: The most important aspect of motorcycle safety is to be seen by other drivers. When you make eye contact, then you know you are being seen. If you don’t, then your chances of being hit are increased and that is your cue to take precautions.
2. Anticipate Trouble: If you can analyze what other drivers are doing, and predict the outcome of their movements, you are much less likely to be caught off-guard and get in an accident.
3. Beware of Left Turns: One of the most fatal accident types that Motorcycle Riders face consistently is oncoming motorists that make left turns in front of them. Slow down before you enter intersections and be extra alert for these types of turns.
4. Avoid weaving between lanes.
5. Get formal training and take refresher courses.

One of the most innovative new ways that science and technology is trying to keep riders safe is through inflatable motorcycle jackets. These jackets have built-in airbags and are able to inflate in less than a 1/10 of a second. They are already being tested with awesome results. Check out this quick ABC video report for more info.

The Most Dangerous Intersections in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. This brings us many benefits (like strengthening our economy), but it also presents a lot of challenges. For example, a high percentage of tourists driving in our city means a high percentage of drivers who are not familiar with our streets, locations they are looking for, or even our laws (international tourists). As specialists in Las Vegas Car Accidents, we know that driving in this city can be dangerous. We decided to do something about it. Here is a map we’ve created to show you where the most dangerous intersections in Las Vegas are located.
